Dr. Kyle Bow is an Eastern KY native, growing up in Floyd Co. and graduating from Pikeville High School. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Bow then moved to Orlando to do his pediatric training at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. Since finishing his training, he has worked as a pediatrician, pediatric urgent care physician and missionary physician. He is married to Laurie and they have four children. His passion is serving patients in rural communities because he feels that they deserve the same medical care that is provided in big cities. He has also recognized the need for pediatrics behavioral health in rural communities and is proud to be able to provide the services he can.
Joy Goben, APRN-BC is a Western, KY native, growing up in Sturgis, KY and graduating from Union County High School. She obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Henderson Community College in Henderson, KY. While working as a Registered Nurse, she obtained her Master’s of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Walden University. She is ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center) Board Certified. Joy worked at urgent cares and clinics for 4 years prior to opening a solo practice (Goben Family Care) in Sebree, KY. With the help and guidance of Dr. Kyle Bow, a rural health clinic, Sebree Medical Group, was developed to better serve the rural community of Sebree, KY and surrounding areas. Joy has served/worked in healthcare for more than 25 years. She enjoys helping others with their medical needs using modern medicine and holistic medicine.
Joy is married to James Goben and has 2 children. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys riding motorcycles with friends to new places and living life to the fullest.
Melinda Coates is our Medical Assistant at Sebree Medical Group. She is a Western Kentucky native, growing up in Madisonville, Ky. Melinda graduated from South Hopkins High School. She previously worked as a Medical Assistant in pediatrics for 7 years. After being a stay-at-home parent for several years, Melinda worked at Dawson Springs School. She has always had a special place in her heart for caring for children. Melinda joined our team at Sebree Medical Group in March of 2024. She is married and blessed with 4 children and 2 grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with family and friends. Melinda is an active member of Dawson Springs First Baptist Church.
